Movie Madness Project Pan – Update #1

Hey everyone, welcome to my first update for the Movie Madness Project Pan!  This one is a fairly light project pan, picking between 4 and 6 products that coincide with a movie, any movie you want.  Pretty simple and exciting huh?  This project was originally created/started by the PANtastic Ladies on Facebook, but I learned about it through Jessica Lee on YouTube (I will link her first update here for you).  For this project, I picked out 4 items that coincided with some of my favorite movies of all time.  So if you are interested to see where I am at, then just keep on reading!

First up we have the OPI Nail Polish in Black Onyx ($10.50 US) for the movie Hocus Pocus to represent Thackery Binx being turned into a black cat.  I have made some noticeable progress, just not much.  I haven’t had too much patience in painting my nails lately and if they get messed up I get super irritated and wipe it all off.  I love the look of painted nails, but fuck I hate waiting for them to dry!  Anyone else feel me on that?

For the second movie, I chose the Silence of the Lambs and pulled out my L’Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream ($28 US), because it rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.  I mean come on, I had to!  I haven’t made too much progress on this product, mostly because I keep forgetting to reach for it.  So, to see if it will help a bit, I’ve moved it to sit on my nightstand.  So we shall see by next update huh?

Movie number three is a classic, Bram Stoker’s Dracula.  For this, I pulled out my Kat Von D Beauty Liquid Lipstick in the shade Nahz Fur Atoo ($20 US).  Unfortunately I cannot visibly mark any progress on this lipstick but to be fair and honest, I’ve only used it a handful of times.  I absolutely adore this shade, but I find that it bleeds on my for some reason.  I’ve never had that problem with any other shade before.  Even using a lip liner I have had that same problem.  I also get butt hole lips super quickly.  So I haven’t wanted to reach for it even thought I really, really love the shade and how it initially looks on me.

Last up we have the Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer in Fair ($27 US) to coincide with my favorite movie of all time, Se7en.  I used it to represent the sin Glutton in the movie, because with this concealer I must be a glutton of punishment lol.  Now, I know it doesn’t seem like much progress, but I’m pretty proud of that progress.  I use it every single time I do my makeup and only a few dabs because this shit is potent.  I definitely won’t have this product finished by the end of the project, but I hope to be close!

So that does it for my first update, short, sweet, and to the point.  I don’t think I mentioned it here, but I did mention it in the intro, this project runs from Sept. 28 through Dec. 28, so I good 3 month long project.  The next update I am going to actually aim around the 28th of November instead of the beginning of December.  Also, Wednesday I’m going to be bring you my first update for my 12 Pans of Christmas Project Pan so definitely stay tuned for that!  Well, thank you so much for stopping by and until next time!
