Hi there!  My name is Leah, and welcome to my little spot on the web.  This is a blog dedicated to the transformation of one determined woman, me! Going from a 240 pound frumpy, crude mess, to hopefully a fit and healthy elegant success, I plan to use this blog to document my transformation and to hold myself accountable and promote positivity and self-improvement.  Topics of discussion will include food/recipes, fitness, travel, books, goal setting, planning, decluttering, and a shloo of others.

A little bit about myself, I am currently 30 years old and unfortunately have been overweight most of my life.  I started becoming heavy when I was in the 3rd grade, and my weight has been escalating since then.  Throughout the years I have yo-yo dieted, and at one point went down to 165 pounds.  Unfortunately, that weight loss did not stick, because here I am, almost back to my heaviest, which was 242 pounds.

The problem that I have had throughout the years, is I never learned healthy habits, how to cook good, healthy meals, and never made myself a priority.  For the longest time, I hated looking at myself in the mirror.  I would say it hasn’t been until recently, probably within the last 3 years, that I finally began loving who I was as a person and the person reflecting in the mirror.  However, I continued to eat like I did not love myself.

My goal is not to focus solely on losing weight, but to become fit and healthy.  I want to change my lifestyle and truly show my body that I love it.  There are goals that I have for me, and my life, that can only be achieved once I start showing my body true love.  There is also a life I have always wanted to live.  I do not want to wake up every day, repeat the same day, and call it a life.  Deep down in my heart, I truly believe we all were not put on this earth to pay bills and die.  I am a true Sagittarius, I love travel, adventure, risks, and trying new things.  My ultimate dream in life is to live by the beach and swim with Great White Sharks all day, every day.

After all of that, I hope you stick around and subscribe to my journey, and maybe we can help inspire and support one another!  No matter what happens in life, we must keep moving forward.

PS. You will probably also hear about my dogs.  Like, a lot.  I love them very, very much.  And hey, dogs rule!
