LeahERaven.com | Makeup Inventory Part 5: Eyeshadow Palettes

Hey there, how’s it going?  Hope all is well where you are.  Today is going to be part 5 in my Makeup Inventory Series, where I am going through my entire collection and noting what I have.  We are over the halfway mark, which I am really excited about.  Well, I haven’t had a short but sweet intro in a hot minute, so let’s get into the palettes!

I know, I know.  The amount of backlash over this palette was absolutely insane.  Personally, I felt it was a bit overkill and overdramatic.  But hey, that’s me and my humble opinion.  I actually really love this palette.  Quality wise I feel it is fine.  It is extremely pigmented, so a little bit truly does go a long way.  The only problem I had with this palette was one shade not blending well, the Destiny shade, other than that, no issues.

BH Cosmetics Zodiac Palette ($24 US)
There has been so much buzz and hype around this palette and for good reason.  When I picked up this palette, it wasn’t talked about at all yet.  I solely picked it up because it was based off the Zodiac (huge Astrology buff here).  I was absolutely blown away by the pigmentation, blendability, and the brilliance of the metallic shades.  I saw Charlotte Tilbury just upload a video showcasing her new Pillow Talk quad and did a look.  I plan to recreate that look here using this palette.  I definitely think it’s possible!  So be on the lookout for that!

Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette ($65 US)
I’ve used this palette a handful of times now and I really enjoy it, however, I only use a handful of shades.  I am not a fan of purples and definitely not interested in Cosmo (it’s a pressed glitter).  I’m debating about making this palette my Pan That Palette for next year because I want to become better versed with using different shades, shades out of my comfort zone.

Huda Beauty Smokey Obsessions Palette ($27 US)
I fucking LOVE this tiny palette! I have used every single shade and love them all.  This is a very simple palette, but very easy to use and create pretty looks out of.  There is not much more I can say about it.

Kat Von D Beauty Shade & Light Eye Contour Palette ($48 US)
This was my first high-end palette purchase and it is the original one with the original packaging.  Yep, I have had it forever.  I absolutely adore this palette, although I definitely need to pan it due to its age.  I took this picture a little bit ago and since then I FINALLY hit pan in the shade all the way at the end, Latinus.

Kat Von D Beauty Shade & Light Eye Contour Quad in Smoke (discontinued)
I have used this quad only one time but I am happy I picked it up.  I’m aiming to finish up my Shade & Light palette first before moving onto this one.  I tend to enjoy more greys on my eyes than any other shade.  That’s why I knew this quad would be perfect for everyday makeup for me.

Milani Soft & Sultry Palette ($14.97 US)
This has been a more recent purchase.  When these bad boys just launched, I was getting my oil changed at Walmart and saw these on a display.  I could not say no to the Soft & Sultry palette, because I have been looking for more cool-toned palettes that did not revolve around purples, blues, and pinks.  Milani answered that prayer for me, lol.

LeahERaven.com | Makeup Inventory Part 5: Eyeshadow Palettes - NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Shadow Palette in Cool Neutrals

NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Shadow Palette Cool Neutrals ($17.99 US)
First off, I have not used this palette yet.  It’s been sitting in my collection because honestly when I received it, I was completely turned off by it.  Online it looked so different than in person.  It also is a lot smaller than I anticipated.  Maybe next month I will pull it into my makeup basket and give it a go before I completely write off this palette.  I will say, it did have really good reviews on Ulta’s website, so.

LeahERaven.com | Makeup Inventory Part 5: Eyeshadow Palettes - NYX Professional Makeup Perfect Filter in Gloomy Days

NYX Professional Makeup Perfect Filter Gloomy Days Palette ($19.99 US)
As with the previous palette, I have yet to actually try this palette out on my eyes, however, I am really excited about it.  The colors came out more vibrant on the swatches and there is enough of a difference between shades that I don’t think they will muddy up amongst each other.  I will make it a point to use it soon!  Also, quick side note, I did NOT pay full price for either of these palettes.  I picked them up when NYX was 40% off at Ulta.  Always wait for sales if you plan on purchasing something.

LeahERaven.com | Makeup Inventory Part 5: Eyeshadow Palettes - Revolution Beauty & Emily Noel The Emily Edit The Needs Palette

Revolution Beauty & Emily Noel: The Emily Edit – The Needs Palette ($15 US)
Seriously, The Needs is a perfect name for this palette.  I have used every shade in this palette and they all work wonderfully!  It is a phenomenal all-in-one palette and is not complicated.  Love this little gem!

LeahERaven.com | Makeup Inventory Part 5: Eyeshadow Palettes - Revolution Beauty & Emily Noel The Emily Edit The Wants Palette

Revolution Beauty & Emily Noel: The Emily Edit – The Wants Palette ($20 US)
Oh, The Wants.  I don’t want to go into too much detail, because a full review is coming.  I have used EVERY SINGLE SHADE on my eyes, multiple times.  Just know, it is great.  Period.

I’m going to be honest, this is yet another palette I have not used, but it is newer.  This, along with the Fit For A Queen quad was apart of the Fire & Ice collection.  I picked it up because it was apart of the Fire side and because of the green shade.  Once I use it, I will let you know my thoughts on it, if you’d like.

Wet N Wild ColorIcon Eyeshadow in Fire ($4.99 US Limited Edition)
Yet another one that I have not used.  I’ve swatched and they look beautiful, but I only bought it because it was apart of the Zodiac collection.  Fire being my element.  If you have learned by now, I’m a huge sucker for anything related to the Zodiac focusing on Sagittarius and anything dealing with Fire.  Can’t help it.

Haven’t used this one either.  Picked it up because it was apart of the Fire side on the Fire & Ice collection and it has a BOMB red shade.

Oh look, another palette that I have not used.  Clearly, I went on a drugstore palette rampage and just grabbed them all and have yet to try them.  I will trust me.  If you want me to do an update on them, what I think of them, let me know, because I most certainly can.

So that’s it.  That does it for my palettes currently in my collection.  I’d love to hear about what palettes you have in your collection!  Do we share any?  Let me know.  Also, let me know which ones are your absolute FAVORITES, like you could not be without this ONE palette, just for curiosity sake.  Well, I thank you so much for taking time out of your day to check out my palette collection.  I hope you have a great day, or night, wherever you are and until next time!
