Now I know I talked about needing to do an update on my Sephora Haul and Black Moon Cosmetics Haul and I promise those are coming. However, I recently ordered some things from Ulta that I want to share with you and be honest about. For the most part, the items I picked up were cruelty-free. However, I did pick up 2 lip products that are not. I really was intrigued by the colors of these products and fell to temptation. I’m not perfect, I know this, but I am not going to come on here and showcase some of the items I picked up and hide the fact that I picked up 2 non-cruelty-free items. I’m an honest person. So, with all of that being said, if you are interested in what I picked up recently at Ulta, just keep on reading!
Since I mentioned that I picked up two items that are not cruelty-free, I will go ahead and get those out of the way now. The first non-cruelty-free item was the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Liquid Lipstick Les Chocolate* in Sweet Tooth ($9.99 US). It is a pale nude shade and I will say I do not have anything like it in my collection. The other item was a MAC Lipstick* in the shade Stone ($18.50 US). This shade I have wanted for years but never got around to purchasing it. I happened to get a wild hair up my ass and ordered it. Honestly, I really love the shade but I am happy to say I have dupes in my collection. With those two out of the way, we can get onto the rest of the good stuff!
The only other “high-end” product I picked up from this haul was a BareMinerals Gen Nude Patent Lip Laquer* in the shade Yaaas ($19 US). I also picked up Bae, but I ended up returning that shade because it was super pinky/peach and I cannot stand those colors on me. Yaaas is described as a light nude beige.
From here on out is all drugstore baby and I am super excited! Physicians Formula was on sale for buy one, get one half off, so I picked up two of their new Killer Curves Voluptuous Curling Mascara* in Black and in Black/Brown ($10.99 US). I’ve been on a hunt for a new mascara since I am on my last tube of the L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise* ($9.99 US). I grabbed this one because the description of the product and the shape of the wand is very similar to the L’Oreal one, so I’m hoping it gives near the same effect.
Next up are items from FLOWER Beauty. FLOWER Beauty has been on my radar for a while, but for some reason, I have been hesitant to pick anything up. Well, I don’t know if hesitant is the right reason, more so because the products don’t see to work with my aesthetic. None of the lip shades I would wear, I don’t need any more highlighting items, the eyeshadows look pretty, but I have quite a few in my collection now that I don’t even use, and the blushes aren’t colors I would wear either. That leaves very little options. So, with that being said, I picked up the Light Illusion Liquid Foundation* in L2 Ivory ($13.99 US), although once I got it home I’m thinking I should have grabbed L1, but I can make it work. The other product I picked up from this line (buy one, get one half off mind you) was the Seal The Deal Hydrating Setting Spray* ($12.99 US). Both of these items I have heard really good things about, so for my first time trying out the brand, I went with these!
The last two items were the NYX Professional Makeup Suede Matte Lip Liner* in the shade Moonwalk ($3.99 US) and an M506 Brush from Morphe* ($6 US). The lip liner seemed like a perfect pairing for not only the Stone lipstick, but other lipsticks in my collection since most of them run on the greige side. They apparently have a matching lipstick and before I go on a No-Buy, I am thinking about picking it up. It seems like it will be a great drugstore dupe for Stone by MAC and Laced by Melt Cosmetics. The brush I grabbed because Emily Noel from YouTube recommended it. Since I was there, I picked it up.
Oh, I lied! I forgot one more item! I also grabbed the Wet N Wild MegaCushion Foundation SPF 15* in the shade 106A Light Ivory ($8.99 US). I’ve been really curious about this foundation as well, several of my favorite YouTuber’s have raved about this one and I thought I’d give it a go. I wasn’t a fan of the Photo Focus Foundation* ($5.99 US) at all. It did not mesh well with my skin. This one seems like it is more skin-like, so I’m super stoked!
So that completes my latest makeup haul from Ulta. I’m very excited and happy about my purchases and can’t wait to use them. Of course, I will do an update in the future, but it might be a bit longer than what my updates for the Black Moon Cosmetics Haul and Sephora April VIB Sale Haul was/is. I’m currently working on a project pan and that includes a foundation and setting spray. I also already have two mascaras opened and I don’t want to open the Physicians Formula ones until those are completed, so again, might be a bit.
Well, I hope you found this haul interesting! If you have any of these items, let me know what you think of them! The items I’m most curious about are the foundations and the mascara. I’m hoping they will work out. That does it for me! Thank you so much for stopping by and until next time!
